Welcome to Your Best Self Photography. By booking a session, using this website, or purchasing any products or services, you agree to the terms below. If you have questions, reach out anytime.
1. Booking & Payment
A non-refundable retainer is required to secure your session date. Your session isn’t considered booked until the retainer is paid.
Remaining balances are due on or before your session date, unless otherwise noted.
Gift certificates must be paid in full at the time of purchase and are non-refundable.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Retainers are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new date if rescheduled with reasonable notice.
Weather reschedules are at the photographer’s discretion. If rescheduling isn’t possible, your retainer can be applied to a future session.
No-show sessions forfeit the retainer and may require a new payment to rebook.
3. Image Delivery & Ordering
Proof galleries are delivered within the estimated timeline provided at booking. Final edited images are delivered after selections are made.
Your gallery will remain online for a limited time. After it expires, a reposting fee may apply.
Prints and products ordered through Your Best Self Photography are final. Because these are custom items, no returns or exchanges are accepted.
4. Editing & Retouching
Your Best Self Photography edits images in a consistent style that focuses on natural, true-to-life results.
Standard editing includes color correction, exposure adjustments, and light retouching. Advanced retouching (head swaps, heavy object removal, extensive skin editing) may require an additional fee.
5. Copyright & Image Use
Your Best Self Photography retains the copyright to all images.
Clients receive a personal use license, allowing them to download, print, and share their purchased images for personal use.
Images may not be altered with additional filters, sold, used commercially, or entered into contests without written permission.
The photographer may use images for portfolio, website, and marketing purposes unless you request otherwise in writing before your session.
6. Model Release
By booking, you grant permission for images taken during your session to be used for marketing, portfolio display, social media, advertising, and promotional materials. If you prefer not to be featured, let me know before your session.
7. Liability
Your Best Self Photography is not responsible for injuries, property damage, or lost items during sessions.
In the rare event of equipment failure, illness, or unforeseen circumstances preventing the completion of your session, liability is limited to rescheduling or a refund of payments made.
8. File Storage
Final images are kept on file for at least 12 months but are not guaranteed for long-term storage. Please back up your images once downloaded.
9. Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are valid for the dollar amount listed.
They cannot be redeemed for cash.
They must be used before the expiration date listed on the certificate (if applicable).
